More "Flight of the Butterfly" Ideas

Here are some more cards from my Flight of the Butterfly class. If you're still interested in taking this class, I will be having a Midnight Crop this Friday, April 3 and you can take it at that time. Just RSVP to attend!

This is such a popular set, and I can see why; there are endless possibilities with it! I had so much fun coming up with samples for the class that I had a hard time making the final cut and choosing which ones to include.

This one incorporates the "Inspired By Nature" set for the grass background:

I kept the front of this card quite simple because...

...there's a spiral pop-up surprise inside!

Thanks for looking!

Big Shot Purse

I'm so lucky to be part of a fabulous group of demonstrators called the Sea to Sky Stampers. At our meetings, we share ideas, learn new techniques and have a lot of fun! This is what we got to make at our last meeting:

It's an adorable Big Shot Purse! We used the Top Note Die to create the front and back of the purse and the Scallop Circle die to make the top. Notice the Kiwi Kiss corduroy brad? I love the texture and dimension it adds to the project!

Bella Rose Bra and Panty Cards

I created these naughty but nice bra and panty cards using a template from Stamp Owl's blog. I used SU's Bella Rose DSP (one of my favourites!). The little heart stamp is from Goody-Goody Gumdrops, a level 3 hostess set.

Wait till you see the adorable 3-D project I got to make at my demo meeting the other night! I'll be sure to post it in the next few days!

Treat Slider

I love making little treat containers, and this treat slider was so easy and fun to make. I've seen similar projects on Splitcoast Stampers; if anyone knows who originated it, please let me know so that I can give them credit! To determine the size of the cardstock, I just added 1/4'' to each long side of the hot chocolate pouch and 1'' to each short side. After scoring, folding and adhering the cardstock, I crimped the bottom edge with my paper crimper. I punched the half circle at the top with my 1'' circle punch, and punched a smaller hole directly underneath.

The ribbon wraps around the bottom of the hot chocolate pouch and one end threads through the small hole to keep it in place. When you pull gently on the ribbon, the treat slides out! The size could be adapted to fit popcorn, chocolate, or whatever you think of.

Here's another one I made with my "Love You Much" set. Thanks for looking!

Stamping With Bleach

I saw a video tutorial for this neat technique on the Stampin' Up! demo website. It uses everyday, household bleach to give your stamped image a beautiful look. I used Baja Breeze ink to stamp the flower image from the Upsy Daisy set on Baja Breeze cardstock, and then stamped the same image with bleach. I used a bit more bleach on the "thanks so much"card; I think I like the effect better than the more subtle "get well" card.

Sweet Stems Mini Pizza Box

I got this set during the demonstrator pre-order period a couple of months ago. Yup, that's one of the perks of being a demo; you get your hands on the goodies in advance! I love the sweet simplicity of the images. I didn't have a lot of time to stamp this past week as I was finishing up my report cards for the term, so I thought I'd whip up some quick little 3x3 cards. Then, I saw the instructions for the mini pizza box on the SU demo website and knew I had to make one to put my little 3x3's in! Thanks for looking!
